Bennett entered their tilt with Platte Canyon on Thursday with seven consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with eight. They claimed a resounding 59-31 victory over the Platte Canyon Huskies. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.

Bennett got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jessica Venneberg out in front who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Venneberg is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Olivia Schroeder was another key player, going 5-for-11 on her way to 15 points.

Bennett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Despite the defeat, Platte Canyon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abigail Tomasko posted eight points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Tomasko a new career-high in shooting accuracy (60%).

Bennett's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points over those games. As for Platte Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Bennett has already played their next game, a 51-22 loss against Peak to Peak on the 10th. As for Platte Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-16 defeat against Strasburg on the 8th.
