Basketball Recap: Red Bud Comes Up Short

Red Bud lost against Marquette Catholic back in December of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Bud Musketeers took a 43-28 bruising from the Marquette Catholic Explorers.

Lilly Minemann was Red Bud's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Emma Carter held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

Red Bud's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Marquette Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Bud will venture away from home to take on Carlyle at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Marquette Catholic, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Althoff Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
