Basketball Recap: Varnado Gets the Win

Varnado's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 37-36 victory over the Abramson Commodores. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 31-17 back in December of 2025.

Varnado has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Abramson, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Looking ahead, Varnado will head out on the road to take on West St. John at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Abramson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against New Orleans Charter Science & Math on the 9th.
