After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kennedy, Johnson was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Valley Vikings 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

Johnson's got stronger as the match went on, holding Valley to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-23, 25-18.

Johnson found their leader in sophomore David Rodriguez, who had nine digs and four aces.

Johnson now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Valley, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson will square off against West Campus at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Florin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Florin will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
