Basketball Recap: Jackson County Comes Up Short

Jackson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Clay County Tigers 76-34. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Tigers are ranked 44th).

Jackson County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Clay County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Jackson County will take on Barbourville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clay County has already played their next game (against Oneida Baptist Institute), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
