Sabino is 10-0 against Tanque Verde since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Sabino Sabercats will square off against the Tanque Verde Hawks at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Sabino's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Monday, Sabino didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Palo Verde, but they still walked away with a 66-62 win.

Meanwhile, Tanque Verde came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Trojans, posting a 70-20 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

Sabino better keep an eye on Rich Knott. He was instrumental in Tanque Verde's win, going 10 for 11 en route to 22 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Rocco Haggard was another key player, going 7 of 10 on his way to 15 points and eight boards.

Tanque Verde was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Tanque Verde's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42.6 points. As for Sabino, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Sabino beat Tanque Verde 64-54 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Tanque Verde's Philip Knott, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds.
