Football Game Preview: Owyhee Storm vs. Boise Brave + How To Watch

The Owyhee Storm will venture away from home to take on the Boise Brave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Owyhee is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Eagle, who was ranked fourth at the time (Owyhee was ranked ninth). The Storm received a blow on Friday as they fell 34-20 to the Mustangs. The defeat continues a trend for the Storm in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Owyhee might have lost, but man, Ellis Stanley was a machine: he rushed for 141 yards and one score while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Stanley really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

Meanwhile, Boise ended up a good deal behind Mountain View on Friday and lost 34-20. While the Brave had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Mavericks 13-0.

Owyhee will need to focus on slowing down Logan McDonald, one of several Boise players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 100 yards on only 12 carries.

Boise's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Owyhee, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Owyhee came out on top in a nail-biter against Boise when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 30-28. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Brave's Trevor Schoolfield, who threw for 220 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 67 yards.
