Softball Recap: Daphne Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Daphne dropped their record down to 31-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Orange Beach Makos, falling 17-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Trojans, who until this matchup were averaging 2.16 runs allowed.

As for Orange Beach, they pushed their record up to 30-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 22 contests by six runs or more this season.

On Orange Beach's side, KG Favors spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Teagan Revette, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of LC Robbins, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Daphne has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against West Florida on the 21st. As for Orange Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-2 victory against North Penn on the 18th.
