Basketball Recap: North Raleigh Christian Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Julian Hernandez and Cooper Herakovich

North Raleigh Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 56-45 to the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 53-39 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Cooper Herakovich and Julian Hernandez. Herakovich posted ten points and five assists, while Hernandez shot 46% from the field en route to 15 points. Jaden Brinkley was another key player, putting up six points.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. North Raleigh Christian Academy will venture away from home to square off against Greensboro Day School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bengals will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Carmel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
