Football Recap: Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds vs. Community Christian Knights
Notre Dame Academy was the 36-12 winner over Community Christian when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of the Community Christian Knights. The Irish Wolfhounds just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Isaiah Lee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Community Christian, rushing for 207 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Lee really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run.
Notre Dame Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Community Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Unity Christian at 4:00 p.m. on October 18th. As for Community Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lafayette Christian at 7:30 p.m. Lafayette Christian's defense has only allowed 15.4 points per game this season, so Community Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
