Volleyball Recap: Canandaigua Academy Comes Up Short

Canandaigua Academy lost against Penfield back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Gray Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Maya Wiitanen paced Canandaigua Academy's offense, picking up three kills. Wiitanen got some help from Kadyn Chapman and her six assists. Chapman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Canandaigua Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4-2. As for Penfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Canandaigua Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Mendon on the 27th. As for Penfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Shenendehowa on the 27th.
