While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1052nd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 163rd).

Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit never let KIPP San Jose Collegiate onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-1-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those seven contests. As for Summit Tahoma, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Summit Tahoma might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Summit Tahoma was down 4-0.
