Tularosa waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Socorro Warriors a 10-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 14-0 win on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Jacoby Apochicto, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Tularosa is undefeated when Apochicto posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Esquero, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Tularosa's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Socorro, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Looking ahead, Tularosa will head out on the road to take on Hot Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Socorro, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cobre at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st.
