Football Recap: Make It 11 in a Row for Highland Park

With a playoff win on the line, Highland Park rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 victory over the Ryan Raiders. The Scots are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Ryan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nehemiah Warmate, who rushed for 104 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries.

Highland Park pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Ryan, they moved to 13-2 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Highland Park and Smithson Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 11:00 a.m. on December 21st. One thing working in Smithson Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six matches. Ryan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
