Basketball Recap: Terra Ceia Christian's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Terra Ceia Christian waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Unity Christian Academy Warriors 79-31. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Terra Ceia Christian was led to victory by Aidan Persons and Ryan Ange. Persons dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 boards, while Ange dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 19 rebounds, and 12 assists. Those 12 assists gave Ange a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tripp Elliot, who went 6 of 7 en route to 16 points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Terra Ceia Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Unity Christian Academy lost, don't look at Shane Fisher. Despite the final result, he posted ten points.

Terra Ceia Christian pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points per game. As for Unity Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Terra Ceia Christian will head out on the road to take on Fellowship Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Terra Ceia Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Fellowship Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Unity Christian Academy, they will host Ahoskie Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
