Basketball Recap: Boyd County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fleming County last Tuesday, Boyd County came back down to earth. The Boyd County Lions fell 72-64 to the South Charleston Black Eagles on Thursday.

Boyd County's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9. As for South Charleston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Looking ahead, Boyd County will challenge Greenup County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Charleston, they will square off against Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Calvary Baptist Academy sitting on four straight victories and South Charleston on five.
