Lawrence County triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Zander Keepers

Recap: Lawrence County Red Devils vs. Central Wildcats

The Lawrence County Red Devils entered their tilt with the Central Wildcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Lawrence County walked away with a 61-52 victory over Central on Thursday. This was payback for Lawrence County, who suffered a 51-45 loss the last time these two teams met.

Zander Keepers was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Lawrence County's points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Smith, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.

The win got Lawrence County back to even at 3-3. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence County will face off against Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hatton at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hatton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Central in Alabama (Hatton is ranked 105th, while Central is ranked 322nd).
