Cimarron entered their tilt with Southwestern Heights on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Southwestern Heights Mustangs by a score of 46-38. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Southwestern Heights' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layla Pearl Kisner, who posted 14 points. Pearl Kisner has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Juanita Puentes, who scored 12 points and six boards.

Cimarron's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Southwestern Heights, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-2.
