Softball Recap: Bloomington Comes Up Short

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Flatonia Bulldogs, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-1 back in March.

Bloomington's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Flatonia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7-1.

Looking ahead, Bloomington will face off against Moulton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobkatz have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats/Lady Cats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Flatonia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Louise at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.67 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
