Soccer Recap: Glenn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hays last Tuesday, Glenn came back down to earth. The Glenn Grizzlies lost 6-0 to the Cedar Park Timberwolves on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Timberwolves are ranked tenth).

Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-3. As for Cedar Park, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.

Coming up, Glenn will venture away from home to square off against Leander at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn has given up an average of 2.6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Cedar Park, they will challenge Liberty Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Hill will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cedar Park surely won't give up without a fight.
