Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gregori). They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the Modesto Panthers on Wednesday. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Panthers are ranked 1005th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gregori's offense was hitting Modesto from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Kyle Sousa led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Gregori and bumps their season record up to 8-3-2. As for Modesto, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-10-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gregori has already played their next contest (against Turlock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Modesto will be playing in front of their home fans against Pitman at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Pitman's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Modesto's offense will have their work cut out for them.
