Middle Tennessee Christian suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-43 walloping at the hands of University School of Nashville. Middle Tennessee Christian has not had much luck with University School of Nashville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Columbia Academy posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Providence Christian Academy and snuck past 73-70. The win was all the more spectacular given Columbia Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Providence Christian Academy is ranked 18th).

Columbia Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Griffin Cooper, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cooper has scored all season. Gabe Davenport was another key contributor, scoring 23 points.

Middle Tennessee Christian's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-13. As for Columbia Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
