Franklin Road Academy hasn't had much luck against Battle Ground Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Franklin Road Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Grace Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers blew past the Lions 10-2 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Millie Pardue made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Ren Spencer was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maillie Fuson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Franklin Road Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grace Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .167.
Meanwhile, Battle Ground Academy made easy work of Harpeth on Wednesday and carried off an 11-2 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Like Franklin Road Academy, Battle Ground Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Eily Wolfe. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched. Wolfe was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lauren Atkins, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Cooper Corbett, who scored a run and stole two bases.
Franklin Road Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Battle Ground Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Battle Ground Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Franklin Road Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Battle Ground Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will Franklin Road Academy keep running through batters, or will the Wildcats buck the trend?
