Geneva put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 53-44 win over the Glenbard North Panthers. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Panthers are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Geneva's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Glenbard North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geneva will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hampshire at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Glenbard North and Lake Park will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
