Jordan fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Skyline on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Beetdiggers' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

DANIEL STROPE spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits.

Jordan's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Skyline, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

While Jordan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
