Baseball Recap: South Bend Riley Comes Up Short

South Bend Riley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Chicago Christian Knights, falling 12-2.

South Bend Riley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Chicago Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

South Bend Riley will host Concord at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chicago Christian, they will head out to face off against St. Edward at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
