Volleyball Recap: Tularosa Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Tamara Chavez and Jaleria Caje + How To Watch

Tularosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Cloudcroft Bears, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Cloudcroft scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.

Tularosa's loss came despite strong showings from Jaleria Caje and Tamara Chavez. Caje had 26 assists and 12 digs, while Chavez had 12 digs. Caje has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Tularosa's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Cloudcroft, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Tularosa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Chaparral on the 14th. As for Cloudcroft, they will look to defend their home court on the 18th against Lordsburg at 3:00 p.m.
