Basketball Recap: Elysian Fields Comes Up Short

Elysian Fields was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 56-43 to the Gary Bobcats. The Yellowjackets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in December of 2022.

Despite the loss, Elysian Fields still got an impressive performance from Brandon Kennedy, who posted 20 points. Kennedy's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Parker, who earned ten points.

Elysian Fields' record is now 11-9. As for Gary, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elysian Fields will venture away from home to challenge Timpson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gary, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Gary Bobcats duke it out with the Tenaha Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
