Baseball Game Preview: Canton Warriors vs. Bucktail Bucks

The Canton Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Bucktail Bucks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Canton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Canton came up short against Cowanesque Valley and fell 8-3.

Ben Fitch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Meanwhile, Bucktail lost 20-5 to Sullivan County on Thursday.

Keller Friese made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tyler Hillyer, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bucktail, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
