Highland had won six straight games and Alexis Eley did her part to make it seven on Thursday. The Hawks took down the Canyon View Jaguars 21-3 for which the team can thank Eley, who threw for 210 yards and three TDs while completing 71.9% of her passes, and also rushed for 53 yards on only six carries. She has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times she's played.

Highland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alyha Morgan and Ela Witcher.

Highland's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Canyon View, they moved to 4-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Highland will welcome Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canyon View, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sunrise Mountain at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
