Volleyball Recap: Woodmont Wildcats vs. J.L. Mann Patriots
Woodmont came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the J.L. Mann Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.
Woodmont never let J.L. Mann on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-23, 25-13.
Woodmont's offense was headlined by
Symone Wyatt and
Mallory Mizell, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They were helped by
Riley Gross and
Sarah Tervo, who contributed 20 assists each.
Elany Santos controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Woodmont pushed their record up to 29-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for J.L. Mann, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
