Quad Cities Christian piles up the points against Galesburg Christian

Recap: Quad Cities Christian Eagles vs. Galesburg Christian Lions

The Quad Cities Christian Eagles stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 65-34 victory over Galesburg Christian on the road. The win was just what Quad Cities Christian needed coming off of a 73-40 defeat in their prior game.

It was another big night for Seth Karl, who shot 6-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Quad Cities Christian's points. Cobie Becker-Paradiso was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals and two blocks.

Despite the loss, Galesburg Christian still got an impressive performance from Andrew Summers, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Summers is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

Quad Cities Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Galesburg Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Quad Cities Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tri-State Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Tri-State Christian will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Galesburg Christian will take on Pathway Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Pathway Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 two weeks ago.
