Football Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Clinton had taken Wallace-Rose Hill down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Dark Horses fell 22-18 to the Bulldogs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 9, 2021, but that streak is no more.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton lost, don't look at Miles McCallop. Despite the final result, he threw for 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Jamarae Lamb went supernova For Wallace-Rose Hill., rushing for 278 yards and three scores while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Lamb a new career-high.

Clinton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton will face off against East Bladen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will square off against Pender at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 990 yards in their previous games.
