Basketball Recap: George Poiry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger over East Noble

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost to the East Noble Knights at home by a 68-51 margin. The Saints were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was George Poiry, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kc Pieper, who put up six points and five rebounds.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for East Noble, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Coming up, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger will square off against Fort Wayne North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Wayne North Side has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for East Noble, they will welcome New Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in East Noble's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
