Baseball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Holmes Huskies

For the second straight game, Warren will face off against Holmes. The Warriors will square off against the Huskies at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Warren has four straight victories, Holmes has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Warren lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Holmes, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Warriors never let the Huskies get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.

Alex Garza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Warren is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise. Garza was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashton Garza, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Hartley, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Warren, their record is now 9-6.
