Baseball Recap: Kerr-Vance Academy Takes a Loss

Kerr-Vance Academy suffered their closest defeat since April 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Faith Christian Patriots by a score of 8-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 last Tuesday.

Evan Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Kerr-Vance Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Faith Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Kerr-Vance Academy will head out to take on Rocky Mount Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Faith Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Harrells Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. Faith Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
