Soccer Game Preview: Orange County vs. Charlottesville

Orange County is 0-10 against Charlottesville since March of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Fighting Hornets will welcome the Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Orange County came up short against Monticello and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Orange County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Monticello are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Charlottesville hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They and Western Albemarle finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Charlottesville's first draw of the season.

Orange County now has a losing record of 4-5-2. With that draw, Charlottesville's record moves to 7-0-1.
