Baseball Recap: Williston Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Williston has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Crescent City Raiders with a sharp 21-11 win. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Williston got a massive performance out of Braige Schneider, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Schneider a new career-high. Anthony Gardea was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Williston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crescent City only posted an OBP of .467.

Williston pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.
