Basketball Game Preview: Urbana Hillclimbers vs. London Red Raiders

The Urbana Hillclimbers will head out on the road to take on the London Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Urbana took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They secured a 45-40 W over Calvary Christian. Given the Hillclimbers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Spartans are ranked 704th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, London didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bellefontaine on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Chieftains recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Urbana has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points over those games. As for London, their record now sits at 12-7.

Urbana came up short against London when the teams last played back in January, falling 50-46. Can Urbana avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
