Baseball Game Preview: Briggs Bruins vs. Westland Cougars

The Briggs Bruins will venture away from home to take on the Westland Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Briggs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Briggs' offense. They lost 20-0 to Central Crossing on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Westland didn't have quite enough to beat Hayes on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westland's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Briggs, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

Briggs couldn't quite get it done against Westland in their previous meeting back in April of 2017 as they fell 5-2. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
