While Riverside Prep put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Big Bear. The Silver Knights blew past the Bears 17-0. Considering the Silver Knights have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bree Garcia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other pitching news, Sadie Martinez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Denise Hernandez was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Isabelle Obregon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
