Baseball Recap: Mullen Mustangs vs. Grandview Wolves
Mullen had lost five straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 5-8 to make it six. They fell just short of the Grandview Wolves by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 on Thursday.

Thomas Stewart was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. Mullen is 3-1 when Stewart posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Blake Young made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
