Baseball Recap: Plymouth Comes Up Short

Plymouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 9-5 to the Hartland Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 last Monday.

Plymouth got a good showing from Brady Tegen, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Tegen has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tommy Rose was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Drew Kime, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Plymouth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Hartland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Plymouth will take on rival Northville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hartland is set to challenge their familiar foe Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
