Basketball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverdale can now relate to. They lost 57-32 to the Stillman Valley Cardinals on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Cardinals are ranked 20th).

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Stillman Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 31-1.

Riverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stillman Valley, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stillman Valley has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 175 points over their last three matches.
