Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Academy Gets the Win

Vanguard Academy won the last time they faced Dugway and things went their way on Monday too. The Knights came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Vanguard Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 28-30, 25-21, 25-8, 25-21.

Nathanael Peterson paced Vanguard Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Peterson got some help from Ben Kingston and his 28 assists. Kingston was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

The victory got Vanguard Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Dugway, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Vanguard Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
