Carter Lystra posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
