Soccer Game Preview: Novato vs. Marin Catholic

The Novato Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Marin Catholic Wildcats at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Novato's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Novato took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Branson a 1-0 shutout. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Marin Catholic came up short against Branson on Monday and fell 3-1.

Novato's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7-1. As for Marin Catholic, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-4 and their overall record down to 6-5-5.
