Volleyball Recap: Longmont Takes a Loss

Longmont extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 6-8. They lost 3-0 to the Niwot Cougars. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Niwot, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win they have posted against Longmont since November 10, 2018.

Leading Niwot to victory were Olivia Hamlin and Sienna Knight. Hamlin had 12 digs and two aces, while Knight had ten digs and one assist.

Longmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Skyline on the 18th. As for Niwot, they will head out to challenge Horizon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
