Softball Recap: Rancho Bernardo Takes a Loss

Rancho Bernardo lost against Torrey Pines back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rancho Bernardo Broncos fell just short of the Torrey Pines Falcons by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Broncos have suffered since March 5, 2024.

Kaylee Hausherr was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Nora Schwart also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Even though they lost, Rancho Bernardo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Rancho Bernardo now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Torrey Pines, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Rancho Bernardo has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Del Norte on the 8th. As for Torrey Pines, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Mira Mesa on the 5th.
