Baseball Recap: West Broward Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

West Broward had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Varela Vipers by a score of 1-0. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to them when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Broward saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Paneque, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

The win made it two in a row for Varela and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Broward will head out to square off against Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Varela, they will venture away from home to face off against Keys Gate at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
